Our Story

Colombia's decade-long armed conflict has displaced women from all over the country and forced them onto the streets as they try to find the means to support their families. 

Luz Melly Mosquera founded Mujer Talento in 2019, to help lift women from vulnerable populations out of poverty. Since the beginning, we have helped women displaced by the armed conflict in Colombia, Venezuelan immigrants, sexual workers, and other women in vulnerable positions to transform their lives. Our organization started in the heart of Medellín, in the Niquitao neighborhood, where for 5 years we managed our operations. In 2024, we moved our base to La Ceja, in Eastern Antioquia, where we continue to serve women in need and their families.
